FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are there any refunds, or can I pay for only 1 of 2 sessions?
There are no refunds and, while you can choose to attend all or a portion of the class, the fee is $35 per person. Class size is limited to 100 to ensure everyone has the best possible experience. If you register and cannot attend class for any reason, YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED A REFUND. But we will miss you.
Is there a discount for families or children?
No, unfortunately there is no special pricing for children or families. The cost is $35 per person. Children and youth of many ages have attended the class and have had a wonderful time. We suggest, however, that you are the best judge of whether your child will find the classroom and practical instructions useful.
What do I need to bring?

Please bring with you a steel striker or magnesium fire striker, 2 bandannas, a water bottle or cup, a pocket knife and approximately 3 feet of string. You may also purchase the fire striker, bandannas and string as part of your registration on the next page. You should also bring something to take notes, water to stay hydrated, appropriate clothing for the afternoon session at Busiek and lunch and/or snacks if you wish.
Do you provide lunch?

We'd love to but NO, we do not provide lunch, drinks or snacks. Please bring water to stay hydrated and you may wish to bring lunch and/or snacks if you choose. You will have a lunch break and there are many options for grabbing a bite on your way from the classroom venue to Busiek.
Will the class be held if the weather is cold or rainy?
We do not cancel the event for weather conditions, OTHER THAN if we, in our sole discretion, deem it unsafe for people to attend the class in extreme weather. In that event, all registered students will receive a full and prompt refund. Please note that cold or rainy weather is in fact an excellent circumstance in which to practice the skills you will be learning. We believe in you!
Where is the class held?

The morning instruction will be held at Lifepoint Church, 51 Riverdale Road in Ozark, Missouri. We will gather at Busiek State Forest for the afternoon session. We will give you time for lunch and time to get from the classroom venue to Busiek. Class typically ends somewhere between 4 and 5 pm at Busiek.
